This Week’s Events in Toronto: Nov 2 – Nov 8, 2026

Toronto's first full week of November is headlined by a century-old favourite: the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair opens at Exhibition Place on Friday, bringing the country back to the city for ten days of horses, livestock and great Canadian food. Around it, Scotiabank Arena stacks three Maple Leafs home games and two big concert nights into five days, a film festival takes over the TIFF Lightbox, and the week closes on Sunday with Diwali — fireworks and a drone show lighting up Brampton. The Raptors, meanwhile, spend the whole week on the road. Here is who is doing what, where and when — and why it is worth your time.

Show jumping and prize farm animals at an indoor agricultural fair in Toronto

  • Fri, Nov 6 – Sun, Nov 15 — The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair, Exhibition Place (Enercare Centre and Coca-Cola Coliseum). The 104th edition of the world's largest combined indoor agricultural fair and international equestrian competition, founded in 1922. Opening night's Royal Horse Show (Fri, Nov 6, 7:00 p.m.) pairs show jumping and the Mad Barn Indoor Eventing Challenge with the first round of the Canadian Show Jumping Championship. Why go: ten days of farm animals, Canadian culinary talent and world-class horse sport under one roof — a Toronto family tradition for over a century.
  • Tue, Nov 3, 7:00 p.m. — Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Utah Mammoth, Scotiabank Arena. The Leafs open a busy home week against Utah's young club. Why go: the first of three home games in six days, and the easiest ticket of the three.
  • Wed, Nov 4, 7:30 p.m. — Journey: Final Frontier Tour (An Evening With), Scotiabank Arena. The arena-rock legends bring a full evening of their own hits — no opening act — to downtown Toronto. Why go: a farewell-era tour from one of rock's biggest live bands, in the city's biggest room.
  • Wed, Nov 4 – Sat, Nov 7 — Architecture & Design Film Festival (ADFF): Toronto, TIFF Lightbox, 350 King St. W. Twelve international film programs, chosen from more than 300 entries, plus panels and social gatherings, presented by Eventscape; opening night features MUNDO FRÁGIL, following Pritzker Prize-winning architect Smiljan Radić across Chile. Why go: the stories behind landmark buildings and the spaces that shape how we live, on the Lightbox's big screens.
  • Thu, Nov 5, 7:00 p.m. — MAVADO & Friends Live, Scotiabank Arena. The Jamaican dancehall star headlines an arena night with guests. Why go: a rare Toronto arena date for dancehall fans, right in the middle of the Leafs' home stand.
  • Sat, Nov 7, 7:00 p.m. — Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Montreal Canadiens, Scotiabank Arena. Hockey's oldest rivalry lands on a Saturday night in Toronto. Why go: Leafs–Habs on a Saturday is the loudest regular-season ticket in the city — book early.
  • Sat, Nov 7, 8:00 p.m. — Everybody Knows Leonard Cohen: 10th Anniversary Concert Celebration, Meridian Hall. Cohen's family presents the first official tribute tour marking ten years since his passing. Why go: a lovingly curated night of songs every Canadian knows by heart.
  • Sun, Nov 8, 7:00 p.m. — Toronto Maple Leafs vs. New Jersey Devils, Scotiabank Arena. Billed as Remix Game #1 (All Eras), a themed night celebrating Leafs history to close the home stand. Why go: the themed finale of the three-game week, with a Sunday crowd.
  • Sun, Nov 8, 8:00 p.m. — Palace: USA & Canada Tour 2026, Massey Hall. The British indie-rock band plays Toronto's most storied listening room. Why go: a big-room voice in an intimate, legendary hall.
  • Sun, Nov 8, 4:00–10:00 p.m. — Brampton Diwali Mela, Sesquicentennial Park, 11333 Bramalea Road, Brampton (free). The City of Brampton's annual Festival of Lights celebration, headlined by Punjabi singer Sukhshinder Shinda, with cultural performances and food; fireworks run 7:30–7:45 p.m. and a drone show follows 8:15–8:27 p.m. Why go: Diwali's main day, celebrated outdoors and free — the GTA's biggest sky show of the season.

On the road: the Toronto Raptors play away all week — at the LA Clippers on Mon, Nov 2, at Denver on Wed, Nov 4 and at Milwaukee on Fri, Nov 6 — before returning home Mon, Nov 9 against Memphis. Toronto FC and the Blue Jays are out of season.

That's the week! Happening Events & Newsfeed is back next Monday with a fresh roundup — check back weekly so you never miss what's on in the city.
